A registered « .ma » domain name can have one of the following statuses at any given time:

• Active: The domain name is registered in the Registry and is declared in the DNS servers of the « .ma » zone and in the « WHOIS ». The registrar can make any changes necessary.
• Frozen: The domain name is registered in the Registry and declared in the DNS servers of the « .ma » zone and in the « WHOIS ». However, the registrar cannot make any changes.
• Blocked: The domain name is registered in the Registry and declared in the « WHOIS » However, it is deactivated or deleted from the DNS servers of the « .ma » zone, and the registrar cannot make any changes.
• Expired: the domain name came to the end of its registration period.
• Canceled: the domain name canceled by its registrant or registrar.
• Deleted: the domain name is deleted from the DNS servers of the « .ma » zone and the « WHOIS ». It becomes free and available for a new registration.
